This Week in Focus
It’s sheer chaos at America's airports. With TSA workers going unpaid amid a DHS funding standoff, call-outs have surged with up to 40% of security agents not reporting to work at some airports. Here’s the latest:
Delta is sending a message to Congress that no one gets to skip the line while TSA officers go without paychecks: The airline pulled its VIP airport perks for Congressional lawmakers until they resolve the funding lapse.
And if the staffing crisis wasn't enough, LaGuardia Airport in New York is operating on a single runway after an Air Canada jet collided with a fire truck on Sunday night, killing both pilots and sending dozens to the hospital. Investigators are still examining the deadly crash to understand what happened.
Iran is targeting missiles at Israel and Iraq, and Persian Gulf nations are also reporting new strikes. Despite Trump claiming Monday that "very good" negotiations with Iran were underway, Iran denied any talks. Within hours, Iran and Israel exchanged strikes, with Iranian missiles targeting Tel Aviv and Israeli jets hitting targets in Tehran.
