by Particle News on December 16th, 3:51 PM

Particle+ allows users to generate story summaries in any way they can imagine, play all the mini crossword puzzles from the archive, select a voice to read the news, and more.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – December 16, 2025 – Particle, an app that delivers summarized and personalized news, is launching Particle+ – an even more customizable, dynamic, and powerful version of the app.

Particle+ unlocks exclusive access to the following new features:

The new Particle+ voice choice feature is powered by Inworld AI, which provides models and infrastructure for real-time conversational AI experiences. Inworld and Particle are both funded by Lightspeed Venture Partners

“Our users love Particle’s personalized, smart news summaries and the ability to shape the app around their interests. Particle+ builds on that by offering even more customization options," Particle Co-Founder and CEO Sara Beykpour said. "Among other features, users can define exactly how summaries are written and select from a wide range of app icons to make Particle feel uniquely theirs.”

Users can now access Particle+ for free for a week and then pay $2.99/month or $29.99/year. Particle+ is the app’s first paid subscription tier, and Particle plans to continuously add more features to it.
